Vicious Cycle Project: Web Design & Marketing Success

Spring 2021 – Present

What web design project was completed for 'Vicious Cycle'?

Vicious Cycle: Whiskey, Women, and Water, is a book by Kenton Geer. The client’s debut book focuses on some of the most powerful influences in his life. Kenton also offers fishing services including fishing vessel training and support, public speaking, and film and commercial work.

The client came to us because he needed a website to showcase his new book. He was in need of a landing page to help promote the book, but also of a platform to describe the other fishing-related services that he offers. His goal for the site was to promote awareness of his book and services.

The design process started with the client giving us the cover art of the book to use as inspiration. We were given design freedom with the site, and implemented branding which matched the book cover, as well as custom micro-interactions throughout the site. We created custom design templates for blog posts and blog archive pages. We also set up and integrated an email newsletter list, and added links to his podcast.

Vicious Cycle is the third website we have created for this client over the years. We were happy to have the opportunity to work with this client again to help promote his book, and continue to offer ongoing support.
